This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The bottom has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Paintovers! Redlines! Yup, that's what this account is about. What's a paintover? It means one artist paints or draws on top of another artist's image, suggesting how to improve it. Submit the piece you want input on and I'll do my best help you with it. Rules: Only one image per request. No rough sketches, images should be fairly fleshed out. Quick explanation of what you're stuck on. If there is already 5 requests unanswered ahead of yours, don't post request. How it Works: To make a request, leave a comment in the Comments area below with a link to the artwork and a brief explanation of what the major problems are. When I finish the paintover I'll post it here showing the before and after. I reserve the right to skip any requests for any reason.
If you know someone that may benefit by submitting or just following along, please refer them to drop by!

I think there are only three unanswered requests here, so I think it's safe to post. O__O
Anyway, as you can see, the image looks a little... blah. I'm just learning digital painting while simultaneously working on anatomy, shading, perspective, and essentially every other aspect of drawing/art. In short, it's tough lol.
The clothing looks flat and ugly, and his forearms seem a little blobish. Overall, I feel the pose is fine and fairly fluid, though I'm sure it needs more work. He's also supposed scowl a bit more than he is in this picture, and I had trouble making his stoic disapproval of others come across in the image.
Basically, I want to make the image feel more alive, and find out where I need more/less/better shading, coloring, anatomy, perspective etc.
hello! [link] ive had some trouble with this one and id like some help i cant get the water and grass fields look realistic and it looks a bit boring, do i need to add something to the composition?

Here is the last illustration i did, When i first blocked in the main colors of the overall composition, it wasn't that bad, but when i look at it now, it's looking so fake, and i don't know if it comes from the bad rendering, the use of colors, or maybe both, or duno ! I hope you're gonna help me thanks !
there's just something off about the background and maybe the composition, I could really use a fresh eye. Thanks again for everything you do, I really appreciate it!
I'm really glad to see that you've been doing so many excellent paintovers for people and was hoping you'd take a look at something I did just now, consider giving me some help with it.
I'm afraid that although I've done the little doggie-coat, the fur isn't very 'fleshed out' because that's where I'm stuck! I wouldn't call it a rough sketch though; it's at least as finished as ~NibrasI's was.
Here it is: [link] The main thing really is the fur, as there aren't really clearly defined areas of light and shade, and I don't know how to create that kind of warm fuzzy depth characteristic of fur.
Thanks if you decide to paint, and thanks if you don't. Either way, I really appreciate what you do for the community!
